Welcome to Tissue Art - a place where science, visual art and music converge!
At the core of this project are tissue art prints and sculptural forms inspired by microscopic images of successful cancer treatment (ypT0). These powerful medical images are transformed into 3D prints and sculptures — tangible expressions of healing at the cellular level. From these sculptural forms (plates), art prints are created, extending the dialogue between science and aesthetics.
Conductor Thomas Jung has been fascinated by Veit Krenn’s artworks and had the idea to translate the various sculptures and prints into musical scores. The first musical composition, created by Joachim F.W. Schneider, is a direct translation of these 3D sculptures into sound. Structures become harmonies, surfaces become textures, and spatial relationships evolve into musical form. Microscopic melodies evolve. The result is an auditory interpretation of recovery — a composition shaped by the geometry of healing itself. Future compositions may draw either from the sculptures or from the prints derived from them, continuing this evolving interplay between microscopic reality, physical form, visual art, and music.
Tissue Art invites you to experience transformation — from cell to sculpture, from sculpture to sound.
